✧・゚:* Te Maire Planting Day *:・゚✧

About a week ago (Wednesday 14th June) Teina Toru and Poutama went to Te Maire Lagoon to go planting.

We drove to Te Maire by bus and thanks to Tim, We got there safely and on time.

We had to walk a little to get there but I was fine. Then when we were there the kaitiaki did a karakia and we got started! Our class had to get into groups of three or two but I didn´t get into a group, And I think I did well when I planted 11 plants by myself.T

Once I finished my planting I went to the little stall and had a packet of chips and two sandwitches. Then everyone packed because they finished all the planting and our class and Teina Toru took a photo for our school then walked back to the bus and drove to school.

It was lunchtime when we got back, Poutama and Teina Toru got a longer lunch because we didn’t get all of our lunch play.

It was so fun planting!

My narritive writing

– –  A day at the beach – –

One sunny` ~*`~*Saturday morning*~`*~`,

My dad woke up much earlier than all of us

(All of us as in Me, Mum and my two sisters

Takiri and Ema) to go fishing at the beach!

Mum got us ready with our togs, a towel for each

of us, our goggles and some fruit.

After that we went to our car and drove to the ✼Beach✼

When we arrived there I jumped out of the car and ran towards the water with no hesitation at all.

I splashed and swimmed and jumped until I had enough. I decided to go on my back, away from the waves and relaxed.

I put my goggles on and dived under the water hoping to find some crabs or even some pipi!

Instead I found three flat pipi shells, five swirly shells, two round white circle looking shells and a knife shaped stick. After collecting all of those trinkets I got out of the water and ran down the beach stepping in the white foam looking for shells and pumice.

On the way to a big tree ( the big washed up tree I set for my goal ) I saw horse footprints on the ground so I followed them and guess what I found! I found a big ✿❀Orange Sunset Shell ❀✿ at the end. It was so beautiful that I picked it up and ran back to my mum’s car and put it on my seat. Then I walked to dad to see if he had a fish.He didn’t yet so I went into the sand dunes to make a house out of sticks and shells I found behind hills and long grass. I tried to make a big house and I did make one but it really small that was alright though because I could fit me,my shells and my big log that had my ✧favourite✧ shells. After all that we packed up and went to the Four Square for Ice Cream then headed home.

My blog post about summer

I am really excited about this summer!

Do you know why? Because I am going to the…

South Island

Or at least I think I am because Mum said we could be going to

Motueka

Because in Motueka there are so many outdoor

activities to do! My family and I were going to go in September,

but it was always raining so there was nothing good to do

so we couldn’t go. But we were going to go on a Ferry!

I am so excited, And with Christmas so close I think

I will have an amazing summer!

I have all this stuff that I am going to do like going for trips,

family dinners, cousin sleepovers even Christmas trip with my auntys

and uncles like it said I’m so excited!

Leave a comment of what you are going to do this Christmas!

Have a great rest of your day!

Thanks for reading.

Our Poutama class trip

On the first day of December,My classroom, Poutama

Went on a class trip to The Lido, The Esplanade and Cloud 9!

We went to The Lido first and I played on the big Superbowl.

The Superbowl is a big slide that is a green and white slide where

You get a floatie that is a Single or a Double.

A single is like a round donut that your legs are in front

and your hands hold onto handles on the side.

The Double is just like a Single but there are two connected, so you can go

on with someone else behind you.

You put the floatie in the slide then you hop in. When you go down the

big slide you start spinning around and around, The Superbowl is super fun!

Then I went on the Superslide!

The Superslide is a big, yellow slide with a big drop.

It is on the same platform you wait on for the Superbowl.

You sit on the area of the yellow slide and cross your arms and your legs to stay safe.

Then the life guard gives us a little push then we go sliding it is so fast and long.

My Speech

In my classroom we have been doing speeches about anything we want!

My speech is about Dolphins.

Dolphins can be found all over the

 world and in the sea.

Underwater noise sickness/pollution is a

 real threat to dolphins.

They like to blow bubbles.

There are around 40

species of dolphins and seven

species of porpoises.

Dolphins are marine mammals.

Dolphins eat fish, squid and crustaceans like crabs.

All dolphins have conical-shaped teeth.

The orca is the largest dolphin.

Dolphins have 2 stomachs &

They dive up to 1,000 feet.

Dolphins can live up to 50 years &

dolphins never chew their food.

Did you know that the Amazon River has pink dolphins!

That was my speech about dolphins.
